Cedar Fence - Stockade
Stockade fence is one of the most basic types of fencing products. It is the standard fence one can generally see throughout Long Island along with chain link and post and rail. Stockade is moderately priced, and will give you a good lifespan for your money. Many customers choose to enclose their back yard on three sides with stockade, then finish the front “close-offs” the dividing line between front and back yards) with something more decorative like cedar or aluminum.
There are no styling options with stockade other than height. Cedar Fence stockade is available in 4’, 5’, 6’, and 8’ heights.*
Two of the most important considerations when deciding to install a stockade fence is the thickness of the fence parts and the quality of the wood used. Cedar Fence uses only #1 Canadian spruce stockade, with 3” X 3/4” thick pickets and 2” X 3” back rails (the horizontal bars that keep the fence together). One can easily see the difference between the thickness of the wood on a section of Cedar Fence stockade and many of the cheaper brands of stockade available.
